Does it work on skunk odors?

Yes, OdorKlenz products work on skunk odors. The main chemical component of skunk odors is a thiol, a sulfur based chemical. OdorKlenz-Air cartridges, OdorKlenz Skunk Odor Eliminator, and OdorKlenz Laundry Additive can all be deployed successfully.

Can OdorKlenz products be used on cigarette smoke? Pet urine? And does it work with fabrics or textiles?

OdorKlenz-Air Cartridges can be used to assist on cigarette smoke mitigation. As with all odor elimination the source must also be treated. Timilon does have product specifically for pet urine and source treatment. They can be seen on OdorKlenz.com under the Home & Pets section.

You mentioned use on a protein fire where it can be easy to overlook something that needs cleaning. If the OdorKlenz-Air Cartridge is used on such a job, and something was not completely cleaned, would there be any difference in odor levels after the equipment containing the OdorKlenz-Air Cartridge was removed? Odors would return at the same level?

OdorKlenz-Air would still positively impact the air and odor concentration. If the equipment was removed and some source was still left a chance for the odor to return does exist. In those instances, the odor typically does not return as strong as before. A big benefit of OdorKlenz on protein fires is also that the process is not masking what is needing to be cleaned making it easier to identify source locations.

Can I use this at the same time as I am using ozone?

No. There are many process in the restoration industry designed to mitigate or minimize the impact of negative odors in our environments. Fundamentally as restorers, the goal is to eliminate chemicals, odors, and pollution while returning the property to pre-loss conditions. Timilon believes that the best way to address the chemicals, odors, pollution we are encountering on a jobsite is to neutralize and remove them, not by releasing more chemicals. Even if the chemistry is correct, the byproducts of those reactions is still in the environment and often the chemical release is mainly masking or encapsulating the offending odors. With OdorKlenz-Air, the process neutralizes and removes the chemicals, odors, and pollutants from the environment and we have always taken the approach of why would you want to intentionally release additional chemicals to the environment when your goal is to eliminate them.
