Applications & Instruction Guide
Removal of pollutants from the air is an important application area with significant impact on quality of life. Portable home air filters, personal protection respirators, and large-scale filtration systems installed in buildings are examples of air filtration products widely used to improve air quality and prevent exposure to pollutants. Air filters removing chemical pollutants, gases, or vapors, are frequently used in facilities using toxic chemicals or in buildings where such pollutants may be present.
Why OdorKlenz-Air for HVAC is Better Than Carbon HVAC Filters
Carbon is a commonly used material in odor control applications. It absorbs odors; however, it does have several serious disadvantages. Most significantly, carbon only physisorbs odor molecules, meaning that it can release them later and cause the re-emergence of an odor believed to have been neutralized or eliminated. Changes in humidity or temperature can aggravate this process, causing adsorbed odors to release into the air.
Whereas OdorKlenz technology allows for pollutants, odors and corrosive gases to be eliminated with no re-emergence.
- OdorKlenz technology can offer dramatically increased chemical neutralization capability and broader efficacy towards a variety of chemical classes.
- OdorKlenz technology can be incorporated into an existing air handling systems (HVAC) and configurations, or used in portable/mobile air filtration systems.
- OdorKlenz technology does not release adsorbed chemicals or fragrances.
- OdorKlenz technology provides superior performance when compared to commercially available counterparts.

“A basement was filled with 1-inch deep sewage. The smell was the worst I’ve experienced in my history with ServiceMaster Clean. The air scrubber with an OdorKlenz-Air Cartridge ran for 3 hours. We met the Customer upstairs and to their satisfaction and our surprise, the odor was gone. It far outperforms any other filter. It just works.”
“A meat-based casserole was accidentally left baking in the oven of a large 2-story home. It remained there continuing to burn for several hours. Two air scrubbers with OdorKlenz-Air Cartridges were placed in the home… After only 45 minutes, I could not smell a trace of the horrible protein smoke damage. The homeowners were thrilled to be able to re-enter their home to check belongings. I knew instantly that this was what I’d use for all of my odor damage jobs.”
